Learn about Court9

Our aim

Court9 is an online service dedicated to tennis, squash and badminton players and organisers.

Our aim is to get more people playing and engaging in racket sports. Court9 is a useful and easy-to-use online environment through which:

  • Players can network, join clubs and ladders, organise matches, share their results and experiences and, most importantly, have fun!
  • Match Organisers can effortlessly track players’ availability for matches (often a painstaking task!) and easily communicate match details and last minute changes
  • Ladder Organisers can create and manage ladders in their clubs by setting rules, inviting players to join and responding to membership requests
  • Club Representatives can, via a dedicated space for their club, add news reports and details about their club to engage members and the wider Court9 community.

A beta release was officially launched in August 2010 by Lee Gunn and Nick Bradley, two like minded sports enthusiasts and friends.

Why was Court9 created?

Based upon our experiences of playing and organising matches, we felt that players and organisers face a number of frustrations and difficulties that, up until now, had not been adequately addressed.

Players, for instance, often have difficulty finding new people to play with after joining a club, when away on business or holiday, or when friends are unavailable.

Further, organisers such as team captains often have problems tracking players’ availability for matches and communicating last minute changes. For those of you who have been organisers, we’re sure you will empathise with the time and effort required in phoning/emailing people!

Court9 aims to resolve issues such as these (and more) so that you are able to spend more time playing the game you love!

Court9 is young – we need your feedback!
